In a budget saving move, the City of Dubuque and partner Travel Dubuque are discontinuing the annual Growing Sustainable Communities Conference.
The city says rising costs combined with declining sponsorship support and uncertainty around city tax dollars have made it increasingly difficult to host the conference in a financially responsible manner.
The GSC Conference has been hosted by the city since 2007.
