Severe Weather Threat Monday

NEWS STORM

It appears Monday will be another day to be weather aware.

The National Weather Service has an enhanced risk or level 3 of 5 for severe weather with widespread strong to severe thunderstorm development probable with potential for all forms of severe weather including large tornados.

At this time, the afternoon and evening hours on Monday appear to be the most favorable time for the strongest storms.  There is also a flash flood threat with heavy rain especially in northwest Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Following Monday’s potentially bumpy weather, things will be cooling off the rest of the week with highs in the upper 50s to 60 through Friday.
