A Dubuque man faces several charges after being accused of fracturing a child’s skull.
Police say 33-year old Tyshawn Cossom was arrested Friday following an investigation into the early January incident.
Authorities say Cossom was caring for three small children and injured the 1 year old child after striking the crying infant. The child was taken to the hospital in Platteville and was diagnosed with a fractured skull and brain bleed. The child was then transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals for further treatment.
