The University of Dubuque says beginning this fall; the school will begin offering a new associate degree for helicopter pilots.
The University says they hope offering the two year program will help to address a shortage of helicopter pilots across several sectors including EMS, law enforcement, and aerial firefighting.
U-D began offering helicopter training in 2017. Training resources will now be further expanded with the addition of a helicopter simulator.
