On opening day of the Iowa High School baseball season, the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association has announced their preseason top 10 rankings in each class.
Class 3A: Defending state runner-up Wahlert Catholic is ranked 4th to start the season and Western Dubuque is ranked 10th.
Class 2A: Cascade is ranked 2nd, Beckman Catholic received consideration for the top 10.
No area teams are ranked in Class 4A or 1A. Four Mississippi Valley Conference teams are ranked in 4A led by Cedar Rapids Prairie ranked 3rd, Cedar Rapids Kennedy is 8th, Iowa City Liberty 9th and Iowa City High 10th.
