The new Platteville Municipal Pool is on schedule to open up this summer.
Construction crews are finishing up their work and the pool will officially open next month with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration planned for June 16.
The project has been in the works since 2024 after a catastrophic cracking of the old pool occurred and it had to close just before the start of the season.
The aquatic center became reality last year when Platteville voters approved a levy to provide up to 6.9 million dollars to construct a new pool.
