National Weather Service survey teams confirm another tornado touched down during last Friday evening’s violent weather in the tristate
Yesterday the Weather Service announced an EF1 rated tornado did touchdown in the area of the Galena Territories. The report says the twister with winds up to 95 miles per hours was on the ground for seven minutes between 2:47 and 2:54 in the afternoon and had a path length of 3.7 miles. The storm caused sporadic tree damage, removed an awning from a home, and up to golf ball sized hail.
The same line of storms produced a high end EF2 tornado which left extensive damage and destruction in the town of Lena.
