The Telegraph Herald reports officials with Keystone Area Education Agency are looking to place their Dubuque building up for sale and the Dubuque School District says they may be interested in purchasing it.
The building is located close by to the Dubuque School Districts main offices on Chaney Road and the district already uses the building for some things such as staff meetings and this spring has hosted the district’s reengagement program for high school students who have dropped out of school or are at risk of doing so..
School officials say the building could be a potential home for staff members of its online school, who currently work out of Jefferson Middle School which is the district plans to close at the end of the 2027-2028 school year.
The A.E.A is currently getting appraisals of the building which was constructed in the 1990’s.
