A northern Dubuque County home sustained around 500-thousand dollars damage due to a fire last night.
Around 6:45 last night, the Holy Cross, Farley, New Vienna, Sherrill, and Guttenberg Fire Departments along with Dubuque County Sheriff deputies were called to 28-159 Thunder Road, northwest of Holy Cross near Guttenburg, a home owned by Kurt and Michelle Wolf.
Authorities say all the residents made it out of the house safely, but the home is estimated to be a total loss. Investigators say it appears the fire was caused by a gas grill and is not suspicious. There were no injuries to fire crews battling the blaze.
