We have more details regarding a house fire yesterday at a Dubuque home on the west end.
Dubuque Fire officials say yesterday morning shortly before 10, two people inside the home at 31-99 Kennedy Road were alerted the fire by a smoke detector and called 9-1-1. Firefighters quickly traced the fire to an upstairs bedroom and were able to douse the flames in minutes before the fire spread.
There were no injuries and damage was limited to the contents inside the bedroom. Officials say damaged electrical equipment sparked the blaze.
