The Dubuque Metro Area Solid Waste Agency says an upcoming construction project will be impacting services at the landfill for several weeks.
The agency says the landfill will be undergoing a scale improvement project starting on Monday which will last approximately 12 weeks. Officials say due to the construction there will be extended wait times for traffic at the landfill scale due to traffic being reduced to one lane throughout the project.
In addition to the extended wait times, access to the agency’s Regional Collection Center will be impacted. Because of this the household hazardous materials and electronics recycling programs which operated out of there will be suspended for the duration of the project.
