The Jo Daviess County Sheriff says a Wisconsin woman was injured in car-semi-truck accident on Highway 20 westbound at the intersection with Route 84 near Elizabeth.

Authorities say the accident happened around 12:30 on Wednesday afternoon when the car driven by 54-year old Pamela Patch of Racine was stopped on the east bound shoulder of the highway and attempted a U-Turn in front of the oncoming semi driven by 43-year old Joshua Hill of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.  After the semi hit the car, it was pushed to the other side of the highway and into the ditch.  Patch was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Dubuque with what were called non-life threatening injuries.  She was charged with making an improper U-Turn.
