Maquoketa Woman Convicted On Vehicular Homicide

A Dubuque County judge has found a Maquoketa woman guilty of hitting and killing a semi-truck driver with her vehicle in August of last year.Kaylynn Knight

27-year old Kaylynn Knight was convicted Wednesday of Homicide by Vehicle, reckless driving and will be sentenced June 29th.

Knight was arrested in late September following an investigation after authorities’ concluded she was driving distracted playing a game on her phone when she struck and killed Jayseth Paul of Canada who was standing alongside his truck on Highway 61 south of Dubuque.
