Fighting Saints One Win from Advancing to USHL Eastern Final

The Dubuque Fighting Saints are one victory away from wrapping up the USHL Eastern Conference semi-final series after skating to a 5-2 victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks in Muskegon last night.

The two teams meet again tonight in Muskegon. A win by the Saints would wrap up the series, a Lumberjacks victory means the series comes back to Dubuque for a deciding game 5 on Tuesday night.

 

Drake Relays in Des Moines

  • Western Dubuque won the boys 1600 medley relay with a time of 3 minutes, 26 seconds.
  • W-D’s Quentin Nauman defended his title in the boys 800 meters.

Logan Jones Picked by Chicago in 2nd Round of NFL Draft

PITTSBURGH — University of Iowa center Logan Jones was selected by the Chicago Bears in the second round. Jones was voted a unanimous consensus All-American following a standout 2025 senior season. He was also the recipient of the Rimington Trophy, given to the nation’s top collegiate center, was an Outland Trophy finalist and earned first-team All-Big Ten recognition.
