There was another milestone announcement at the Field of Dreams Movie Site in Dyersville today. Dyersville Events Incorporated announced three local families and business leaders collectively are committing 10 million dollars in support of the nonprofit organization’s “Bring It Home” campaign. The donors are Andy & Debi Butler, Craig & Lisa Breitbach, and the McCoy Group who all were recognized at a ceremony at the new ball park.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was also on hand with another surprise, announcing the state is awarding another $3 million dollars in Destination of Iowa Funding toward the project.
Reynolds says to see all the momentum behind the project has been astounding.
Governor Reynolds say seeing the progress in person was amazing.
The first games at the field are schedule in the middle of next month in the “If You Build It” High School series featuring teams from around the area.
