A special Dubuque County Board of Supervisors meeting is set for this afternoon to consider approving a temporary moratorium on data centers.
The board will consider a resolution imposing a 120 day moratorium.
The meeting comes on the heels of the Dubuque County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommending the board of supervisors put a halt on future data center plans until it can get more information.
County officials say the county has not received an application for a data center.
