The jury trial of a Dubuque teenager charged with attempted murder is underway.
Jury selection finished yesterday and court testimony started in the trial of 18-year old Ahamad Atkins Junior.
Atkins was arrested in late October following a shooting incident in the area of 17th and Jackson Streets. He is accused of firing a handgun at 18-year old Kareem Sehwail after a fight in the alley. The bullet missed and struck the windshield of a parked vehicle.
