A federal jury recently returned a guilty verdict against a Dubuque man charged with possessing and distributing methamphetamine.
43-year old Justin Allen now faces a mandatory 5 year prison sentence with a possible maximum sentence of 40 years.
Allen was arrested in March of 2025 following a traffic stop by Dubuque Police officers where they found methamphetamine and fentanyl in his possession. He was previously convicted on similar charges in 2017 in Illinois and a controlled substance violation in 2025 in Iowa.
