A Dubuque man will be serving federal prison time after being sentenced last week after pleading guilty to charges of being a felon illegally possessing a firearm.
35-year old John Baker was ordered to serve five years in prison. He was previously convicted on drug charges in Jackson County in 2014.
Last July authorities say Baker had a gun during a domestic disturbance. Officers searching his home found a stolen gun in the attic.
